Aleksei Rudnev was born in 1913 in the village of Semenovskoe near Borodino, Moscow region. Studied in the AKHR/R Central Studios, Moscow, from 1929. In 1935 finishing Moscow Art College of the “ In Memory of the Year 1905”. In 1942 he graduated from the Surikov Moscow State Art Institute. S.Gerasimov, Ioganson, Maksimov and Shegal were his professors. Since 1938 Rudnev had taken part in art exhibitions. Including important shows “All-Union Art Exhibition”, Moscow, 1946, 1947, 1949, 1950, 1951. In 1955, 1963,1970 and posthum in 1973 had his personal exhibitions in Moscow. Rudnev’s works are exhibited in art museums in Gorky, Novosibirsk, Ulianovsk and in other Russian cities. They also are in private collections of art lovers in Germany, USA, France, Great Britain and Japan.
